Kepler's contributions to astronomy
He is known for Kepler's laws of planetary motion, Kepler conjecture.A German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer.Kepler discovered and demonstrated that the earth rotates the sun. Astronomia Nava(a new astronomy) Kepler demolished the Aristotelia cosmography of perfect forms and unknown courses in his 1609 work. He has forever changed man's knowledge of his place in the universe. Kepler also helped start the scientific method. He identified problems that started the development of calculus. The Astronomia Nava that is 650 pages records the astronomers 10 year struggle of understanding Mar's orbit. This project solved other mysteries of the solar system.
Kepler invented book that he used to record planet positions. Also glasses for people that are near or far sighted. Plus the quintile and biquintile astronomy aspects. He didn't follow the Lutheran religion on the real presence. He published the 7 volume Epitome Astronomia in 1621. This was the first most influential work discussed. He also published "Harmonics Mundi" which describes his third law. Kepler investigated the formation of pictures with a pin hole camera. Discovered that tides on the ocean are affected by the moon. He also determined the birth date of christ.
